How Much Does a Bespoke Suit Cost in Riyadh?

A bespoke suit in Riyadh starts from SAR 8,500 (£1,700) with my Manager Package, which includes a private consultation, a fully bespoke hand-finished suit, a bespoke shirt and a personalised wardrobe plan. A complete wardrobe of five suits is SAR 89,500 (£17,500). Within each package, the main thing that moves the price is the cloth you choose.

I get asked this almost every week. Usually over WhatsApp, sometimes at the end of a first consultation, occasionally by a PA booking for a senior executive who already knows what he wants but needs the numbers confirmed. Below is the full picture: what's included, what affects the cost, and how to decide which level is right for you.

What makes a suit "bespoke"?

This word gets used loosely in Riyadh, and the confusion costs people money.

Bespoke means the pattern is cut from scratch, for you. It accounts for your measurements, your posture, and the way your right shoulder sits slightly lower than your left after fifteen years in boardrooms. A bespoke suit is not adjusted from a block. It is not a made-to-measure garment with a monogram and a premium price attached. If you're comparing the two, read my guide to bespoke vs made-to-measure in Riyadh.

Every suit I make begins as a blank canvas in my Liverpool workroom. The canvas chest is hand-padded, the lapels hand-shaped, the buttonholes worked by hand in silk twist. Then come the fittings in Riyadh, where I refine every detail in person (sleeve length, shoulder, waist suppression, trouser break) until the suit doesn't just fit you, it moves like you.

What's included: bespoke suit packages in Riyadh

Manager Package: SAR 8,500 / £1,700

This is where most new clients in Riyadh begin.

  • A one-hour private consultation at your office, your residence or our Wadi Qortuba studio
  • One fully bespoke suit, hand-finished in Liverpool
  • One complimentary bespoke shirt
  • A personalised wardrobe plan

This package is for the professional ready to move beyond department store suits who wants to understand, through one well-made garment, what bespoke actually feels like. That means senior managers, expat professionals newly arrived in Riyadh, and founders starting to appear on panels and in press.

The wardrobe plan is something most tailors don't offer. You leave your first appointment with a strategy: the gaps in your wardrobe and the order to fill them. If you've just relocated, my guide on what to wear as an expat executive in Riyadh is a good place to start.

Partner / Owner Package: SAR 89,500 / £17,500

This is the complete wardrobe transformation, reserved for a small number of clients each year.

  • Five bespoke suits, including premium Loro Piana and Scabal cloths
  • Ten bespoke shirts
  • Two complimentary bespoke casual jackets
  • Three complimentary polos and knitwear pieces
  • Priority on suit making and alterations
  • Private consultation directly with me

This package is for the man who wants one trusted person to manage his entire wardrobe: CEOs, managing partners, Saudi principals running their own enterprises, and diplomats. At this level, cloth matters enormously. The drape of a well-woven Scabal or Loro Piana cloth does not go unnoticed in the rooms you occupy.

What affects the price of a bespoke suit?

I'm transparent about all of these from the first conversation. For a broader look at where the money goes in any suit, see £500 vs £5,000 suits, explained.

Cloth. A lightweight Holland & Sherry tropical wool, which I recommend for Riyadh, sits at a different price point from a Loro Piana cashmere-wool blend. Both are exceptional. One suits a working wardrobe through a Riyadh summer; the other suits international travel and cooler months.

Lining and details. Silk linings, working button cuffs, pick-stitched lapels and a bespoke label with your name are all choices we discuss at consultation.

Fittings. Regular clients need fewer adjustment fittings. First-time clients go through a more thorough process, which is already included in the package price.

Travel to you. I come to your compound in Al Nakheel, your office in KAFD or your home anywhere in the city. This is not an add-on. It is part of how I work.

Is a bespoke suit worth the cost in Riyadh?

For the right man, yes, and Riyadh makes the case stronger than most cities.

Off-the-rack suits weren't built for 40-degree heat, or for days spent moving between cold air conditioning and the Saudi sun. They weren't cut for the Saudi and Arab frame. And they weren't made for a business culture where people notice, acutely, how a man presents himself. In Riyadh, a poorly fitting suit is noticed, even an expensive one. A well-fitting one is noticed too, in the right way. I've covered this in full in why bespoke suits outperform ready-to-wear in Riyadh's climate.

British bespoke tailoring also carries a specific authority here. It reads as serious. In a market where business relationships are built on trust long before the contract is signed, that matters.

And a bespoke suit, properly maintained, lasts 15 to 20 years. Spread across that life, the cost per wear is lower than most men expect. I explain why in the real benefits of a bespoke suit.

Best suit fabrics for Riyadh's heat

This comes up in almost every first consultation, and it should.

For year-round Riyadh wear:

  • Lightweight wool (260–280g). It breathes well, holds its shape and wears cleanly through long days.
  • Tropical wool and mohair blends. They're slightly lustrous, excellent in heat, and recover well from travel.
  • High-twist wool. It resists creasing and copes with the constant shift between air conditioning and outdoor heat.

For travel between Riyadh and cooler climates:

  • Flannel (320g+) for London, Edinburgh and New York.
  • Cashmere-wool blends for international engagements and winter occasions.

The Partner Package includes access to Scabal and Loro Piana because their ranges cover all of this, from desert-weight summer cloth to the finest travel-weight wools.

How the bespoke process works in Riyadh

Step 1: The consultation

A private conversation of 60 to 90 minutes, at your location or the studio. We don't begin with measurements. We begin with questions: the rooms you're in, the occasions that matter, the impression you need to make. Measurements come after I understand the man.

Step 2: The cut

Your measurements become a bespoke pattern, drafted from scratch in Liverpool. The suit is cut and constructed by hand, with the canvas, lapels and buttonholes all hand-finished. No shortcuts, no outsourcing.

Step 3: The fittings

I return to Riyadh for your fittings at your preferred location. Every detail is refined in person. I don't consider a suit finished until it feels like yours.

Who I tailor for in Riyadh

Not necessarily the wealthiest man in the room. The most serious one.

Expat executives and directors at multinational firms across KAFD, Olaya and the Eastern Province, who travel between Riyadh, London and other financial centres and treat their wardrobe as part of their credibility.

Saudi founders and business owners in real estate, contracting, technology and professional services, who want quiet quality and clear authority without display.

Diplomats and senior officials, whose wardrobe must communicate stability and trust without a single detail out of place.

Legal and financial professionals, who need the suit to reinforce their advice, not distract from it.

Men preparing for significant moments, such as negotiations, board appointments, international travel and weddings. For the formal side of the calendar, see my guide to Riyadh business event dress codes for men.

Bespoke suits in Riyadh: frequently asked questions

Is SAR 8,500 expensive for a suit in Riyadh?

Compared to off-the-rack, yes. Compared to luxury ready-to-wear from Brioni, Kiton or Zegna, you'll typically pay the same or less, and you get a garment made for your body rather than adjusted to approximate it. With a lifespan of 15 to 20 years, the cost per wear is lower than most men expect.

How long does it take to make a bespoke suit in Riyadh?

For the Manager Package, typically six to eight weeks from consultation to final fitting. The Partner Package runs as a rolling wardrobe programme, with regular fitting visits built in.

Is there an English-speaking bespoke tailor in Riyadh?

Yes. I work entirely in English and serve clients from Riyadh's expat, diplomatic and international business communities. Every consultation is conducted in English.

Will a tailor come to my office or home in Riyadh?

Yes, always. I work at your residence, your office, or privately arranged locations including Al Bujairi Terrace and our Wadi Qortuba studio. No malls. No queues. No appointments lost to Riyadh traffic.

What's the difference between bespoke and made-to-measure?

Made-to-measure starts from an existing block pattern and adjusts it to your measurements. Bespoke starts from nothing: a pattern drafted entirely for your body, posture and proportions. It's not a better version of made-to-measure. It's a different thing entirely.

What's the best suit fabric for Riyadh's heat?

Lightweight wool around 260–280g, tropical wool and mohair blends, or high-twist wool. I work mainly with Holland & Sherry, Scabal and Loro Piana in lightweight grades, and recommend cloth based on your schedule, travel and the occasions the suit needs to cover.

I'm new to bespoke. Where should I start?

Start with the Manager Package: one consultation, one suit, one shirt and a wardrobe plan. You'll end up with a suit that fits you correctly for the first time, and a clear picture of where your wardrobe goes next. Most of my long-term clients began exactly this way.

Do you work with Saudi clients or mainly expats?

Both. A significant share of my Riyadh clients are Saudi principals, founders and business owners. The process is the same for everyone: private, discreet, and tailored to the life you lead.

Can you make a suit urgently?

The Partner Package includes priority suit making. For other clients with an urgent need, such as a significant event or a last-minute trip, contact me directly and we'll discuss what's possible.

Can you make wedding suits in Riyadh?

Yes. I work with grooms and groomsmen for weddings in Riyadh and internationally, with a dedicated consultation, fitting schedule and event-day timeline. To see how it works, read the right way to commission a wedding suit.

Book a bespoke suit consultation in Riyadh

I didn't start as a tailor. My first career was in electrical engineering: systems, precision, understanding how things fit together and why they fail when they don't. What brought me to tailoring, and has kept me at it for ten years, is the same logic. When something is built correctly, it works. When it isn't, nothing fixes it.

A bespoke suit built from your own pattern, finished by hand and fitted in person is not a luxury purchase in the conventional sense. It's an investment in the impression you make, in every room that matters.

If that resonates, I'd like to have the first conversation, at your office, your residence or the Wadi Qortuba studio.
